How important is comfort in a therapy treatment? What factors influence comfort in a table?

Delivering an experience of total relaxation to clients is the first step toward a great treatment, client satisfaction and retention. A well designed foam system should offer firm support for the skeletal structure and moderately firm support to accommodate the soft tissues. Our Foam systems are designed to deliver an experience of comfort and offer longevity. You can also upgrade to a memory foam system on many of our tables. Our memory foam system conforms to the shape of each client. It supports without pressure and offers an experience of sublime comfort. The Touch Response Memory Foam system adds only 12 ounces to a table and is extremely durable (it will retain it’s full loft for a very long time.) Memory foam is polyurethane with additional chemicals increasing its viscosity and density. It is often referred to as "visco-elastic" polyurethane foam, or low resilience polyurethane foam . A lower-density memory foam is pressure-sensitive and molds quickly to the shape of a body pressing against it, returning to its original shape once the pressure is removed.

About our Foams:

Our foam systems feature Earth-Cell™ which is flexible bio-based foam that is an alternative to petroleum based polyurethane foams. We have worked closely with our raw material suppliers, as we know it is important to our customers to have a “green” foam. Using earth-friendly foams gives our customers the performance they expect, but without adding cost. With  Earth-Cell™ , we can provide earth-friendly products whose performance characteristics are superior to other foams due to improved cell integrity.

Earth-Cell™ foams are made of a renewable based bio-polyols. This reduces our dependency on fossil fuels, reduces energy demand and creates a smaller environmental footprint. In addition, these hybrid foams are manufactured without harmful CFCs, and they do not use alternative blowing agents. This allows us to incorporate bio-renewable polyols, such as soy into the foam on our tables.

How much of an impact can this make? For every one million pounds of petroleum-based polyols replaced with bio-based polyols, 2,200 barrels of crude oil are saved. In addition, the use of soy and other renewable products also helps the US farmer.

About our Vinyls and Urethanes:

Our Solutions line of products are covered in a basic PU (Polyurethane) that is soft to the touch and superior in it's ventilation capabilities. we offer 7 popular color choices, many of which can be mixed and matched with our Levante colors.

9 out of 10 of our high fashion standard massage colors are made of a vinyl , Levante, that has the look of leather and  is durable and easily cleaned. We have used Levante as the standard on our tables as far back as 1996 and it holds up incredibly well. If you want environmentally friendly urethane without the cost of an upgrade, select the color purple on your table as it is a urethane rather than Levante, since that color was discontinued in Levante a few years ago.

Levante Features:

Prefixx protective finish for increased stain resistance and easy cleaning. Can be cleaned and disinfected with a variety of chemicals without discoloring or damaging the finish.

Superior lightfastness.

Abrasion tested to 1 million cycles.

Easy to repair cuts less than 1" in length

If you are looking for something a little softer or a different color palette - upgrade to Natural Touch. This premium polyurethane material is soft and supple and very puncture resistant. The  suppleness allows the client to sink into the foam system and experience the foam’s embracing support more fully.Highly recommended, especially with premium foam upgrades and on face cushions.

Cleaning and Care of your table covering:

Cleaning Tip: To determine the method and type of cleaners, the source of the stain should be identified.

Staining Agents. Baby oil, ketchup, chocolate, motor oil, olive oil, grape juice, urine, blood, hair oil tonic, tea, coffee and betadine. Use Method 1.

Staining Agents. Eye shadow, crayon, grease, tobacco tar (nicotine), permanent felt tip marker, yellow mustard, lipstick, ballpoint pen and spray paint. Use Method 1. If stains remain, use Method 2.

The recommended cleaners used in Cleaning Methods 1 and 2 are progressively more aggressive. Often, it is better to begin with the least aggressive cleaner and move to the next strongest only if the stain remains. NEVER EXCEED a staining agent’s recommended cleaner or cleaning method, however.

Method 1: Use one of the following cleaners with a soft cloth or damp sponge. Rinse area with fresh water then dry with a clean,lint-free cloth. • Formula 409® All-Purpose Spray Cleaner • Fantastik® Spray Cleaner.

Method 2: Use a solvent-type cleaner*, such as rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). Rinse cleaned area with fresh water then dry with a clean, lint-free cloth. If the stain persists after six rubs, the stain has set and probably cannot be removed. Rinse cleaned area with fresh water, then dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.

*CAUTION: Some solvents are highly flammable. Exercise proper care in cleaning and notify personnel in area of danger. Wear rubber gloves during all cleaning activities. Use caution in cleaning around buttons, stitching and wooden or decorative trim, since these solvents could damage such areas.
