Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy For Acute and Sports Injuries

This seminar will address acute onset muscle pain and how many practitioners wrongly use the term “injury” to describe a person with muscle pain. Without the confirmation of x-ray, ultrasound or MRI, it is unnecessary to simply label a pain state as an injury. Often, just the presence of pain, is not a reason to undergo these expensive tests and it may behoove the person to try the least invasive intervention of manual trigger point therapy techniques.

What you will learn:
• How do MTrps affect the athlete?
• How can we use Trigger Point Therapy techniques to assess particular sports movements restricted by TrPs?
• Can knowing the presence of trigger points predict potential for future injury?
• Can the same prevent future injury?
